Four Popular Travel Destinations in Ohio

It’s said that if you want to get a true feel for a new destination, you should go where the locals go. While Ohio may not be your first idea of a fantastic vacation destination, we suggest that you reconsider. From historic sites to thrilling amusement parks, the state has dozens of wonderful destinations.

1. Amish Country
If you have ever had the desire to go back in time to when life was simpler, you’ll enjoy Ohio’s Amish Country. From Knox County to Holmes County, the state is dotted with Amish heritage. A visit to Amish Country will have you longing for days when people weren’t too busy for one another.

2. Cedar Point
Located in Sandusky, the park is nicknamed “America’s Rollercoast” for good reason: record-breaking thrill rides. The park is home to Snoopy’s Playland for the kiddos and hundreds-feet tall coasters for big kids. The park’s Soak City provides ample water fun on hot summer days.

3. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Cleveland gets a bad rap. The city is home to the rock hall, a fabulous science center, stellar museums and three sports teams, each with their own arena. The main attractions in the city are all within walking distance of one another, making it easy to tour the area in a single day.

4. King’s Island
You’ll find King’s Island, the largest amusement and water park in the Midwest, in Mason, Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati. From rides to games, the park offers something for everyone.

The accessibility of the attractions in Ohio makes the state a must-visit for any family looking for a fantastic vacation. Visit any one, or all, of the attractions listed above and live like a local for the day.
